She watched Friends in German. She'd already watched all like 20 seasons or whatever it is in English. So, she knew what happened in every scene. And then she turned on German audio and English subtitles. By the time she got to the end of 20 seasons, which is hundreds of hours of listening. Her German had improved quite a lot because she's picking up words and phrases as well. I just clean your teeth. That's not an enjoy drill, you don't. You can feel the gaps between you anyway.
