The immediate precursor of Obama, I used to think it was Oprah, but it really wasn't Oprah. Remember what happened with Whoopi Goldberg? There was a person on the program, her name was Rosie O'Donnell,. And she was quite emphatic and informed on the Iraq War. She got into these verbal conflicts with this white-bread character named Elizabeth Hasenfuss. The next day, she's canceled. Barbara Walters tells her, your stint at The View is over. They replaced her with WhoopI Goldberg. Why? Whoopi's got the dretz. Whoopi has the granny glasses. But you know, Whoopi is safe.
