The End of the Enlightenment

The goal of this episode was to put you in the shoes of one of these early 20th century thinkers and understand why so many of them had such a problem with the legacy of the Enlightenment. Hume's fork or Hume's guillotine, as it's often called, the central thesis being that you cannot possibly derive an ought from an is. In order to justify any of those values, it needs to use the results of science. And modern science has to assume value neutrality in its work.
