The Importance of Subscribers in Short Form Content

Business insider recently did an article that said YouTube subscribers are quickly becoming an outdated relic. Having subscribers is cool, but it doesn't matter if they don't care about you as a person,. especially in a world of short form content where viewers are one swipe away from moving on to someone else. Think about your own behavior. Do you have a lot more subscribers than views? Are you posting YouTube shorts? What are the results you've been getting lately? And what's your opinion on the matter? I would argue this is my thesis.
