Do You Think the Fed Should Be More Democratic?

The fed was created in a way that intentionally insulated it from democratic influence and power. The idea as that the power the fed had was simply too powerful to give to politicians. I mean, there's a terrible incentive for governments to simply print money rather than do politically uncomfortable things like raise taxes or cut spending. And we kind of can now look at the results of that and see that while, you know, we need to learn how to do fiscal action again, because the fete alone cannot drive this economy.
