The Story of Edward the Great
After the war, Edward lived out the rest of his life in France with Wallace. He was characterized by bitterness and a sense of being an outcast until 1972. His last words were reportedly, 'Wallace, Wallace, Wallace' The history books have not been kind to Wallace Simpson. She is typically described as someone who forced Edward's hand. But according to one biographer, stopping Edward from being king was exactly what she wanted - but it was for good reason.
