What's the Problem With Card and Crueger?
Card and crueger compared unemployment four months before New Jersey raised its minimum wage to four months after. The study passed the peer review process for reasons that I will go into here in a moment. Second problem, they looked at chain restaurants. A chain restaurant on average is going to be better able to endure a minimum wage hike than our smaller restaurants.
