Apocalypticism: A View of the World
Apocalypticism is a term that scholars have invented to describe a certain way of looking at the world in ancient Judaism from around the time of Jesus. This view of apocalypticism started about 200 years before Jesus' life and became a dominant view in Judaism in his day. The idea is that God had revealed the secrets that can explain why this world is such a mess. Most apocalyptists thought that this at the end of time was upon us and that it's going to happen soon now.
