Fred erhart had been fascinated by monarch butterflies since his toronto, ontario childhood. His fascination led him to study biology at the university of toronto in the 19 thirties. When he finished his education, he became the insect collection curator for the royalOntario museum. During world war too, fred worked in meteorological service. Monarch butterflies are still in the middle of their story – and it’s one that is precarious. Humans are still trying to figure out a lot about them, and aspects of the monarch story have been misrepresented over the years.
