The more approval it needs, the less likely that person is able to actually understand what they're approving. It means you're not actually practicing a whole lot of responsible thinking as to whether or not this is a good idea right now. So putting it entirely in your hands means you have complete freedom to do what you think is right. But also means you have the responsibility to make the best decision. That's great. I think a lot of the best engineers, really, and developers really value that freedom and responsibility. Yeah, it's worked reasonably well for us.
