The Chinese Military Exercises in the Taiwan Strait
China was carrying out military exercises in both the air and sea around Taiwan. The People's Liberation Army, Navy and Air Force carried out simulated attacks on Taiwanese targets. They also announced that they were practicing for a blockade of an encirclement of Taiwan to cut it off from the rest of the world.
