The Root Causes of Maternal Disparities
America for a wealthy nation has one of the worst maternal care infrastructures in the world, which is really disheartening. In 2011, something like 211 maternity wards closed and that's increasing. Pregnant people need to be able to have easy access to their OBGYN and medical team. If you're not getting that proximate care, if we're losing maternity wards, people are missing appointments.
