What Constitutes a Magnetic Field?

The part of your brain that controls movement is in the central strip in the motor cortex. There we are measuring small magnetic fields in the thinking brain. Who'd have thought? Anything that contains electrons that move can be a magnet. I just don't get what this force is. It's the same question bugging listener James who says the only explanation I've seen just refer to attractive forces but this might as well be another term for its magic.
