The Terror of the Massacre
The orchestra comes together after the chaotic fugue to build to yet another moment of utter horror. The terror is mounting. And finally we reach almost ritualized violence. Suddenly the firing stops and there is one of the most bone-chilling silences you will ever hear. Except that it is in silence. Once the percussion stops, suddenly we are left with nothing but this eerie trill.
