Is There a Counterfactual?

David lewis has a famous account of what it means for a counterfactual to be true. He says that if you say something, a word counterfactual, about a situation like the toss of a coin that's fair, then what you've said is false. And he just doesn't think there are any other counterfactuaes than those tat i'm imitating. I don't share his view as well but i do agree with him on at least one point. You can bean actualist, you coul be possible worlds realists. It doesn't make any difference. We just lining them up in a picture so that it makes sense to look at them.
