The Role of Lament Sundays in Churches

Lament Sundays are an attempt to redress that and say, we're going to focus on the spiritual discipline of lamenting faithfully. I think once these things are brought out into the open, aside from the shared framework and shared language, really it sets it sets a permission for a church in an ongoing way to continue to think about a strengths-based approach. So if you take the course at the end of the eight sessions, what will a person have either learned or what will they be capable of doing or what's the outcome? It creates a safe space, a sanctuary for vulnerability and openness to happen.
