I think the number of people with a concrete use for data science in their daily lives in their jobs, maybe even larger than those who do software engineering. For example, if you actually if you run a small mom and pop store, I think if you can analyze the data about your sales, your customers, I think there's actually real value there,. Maybe even more than traditional software engineering. We live in a world where most courses and talks have slides, PowerPoint, keynote. And yet you famously often still use a marker and a whiteboard. The simplicity of that is compelling and for me at least fun to watch.
