The Battle of Calculation and Intuition in Chess
It seems like this world championship matches a battle of calculation versus intuition with the former losing more often due to something called time trouble. What do you think the world championship tells us about how much emphasis we should place on calculating as opposed to pattern recognition and shallow, more shallower analysis? I would like to very kindly warn against throwing conclusions that if you have got the right intuition, then calculation is no longer that important. A better calculator will always be to be a calculator irrespective of remaining skills. It's very, very difficult to gauge how much calculation goes through in a chess game.
