Sleep and Seasonal Variation

In the winter time, we are genetically optimized to be less active and sleep for significantly longer periods. The other major variable that prompts me to sleep more is in the aftermath of a high intensity sprinting or jumping workout. If i'm on average sleeping from ten 30 to seven, that's eight and a half hours extra each night.
