Spotify Overinvested in Podcasting
The average podcast is 30 to 45 minutes, maybe more. 40% of podcasts have two or less episodes. It's just in its survival of the fittest in order for a podcast to work, you've got to do more than a year plus and you'vegot to interact with everything else that you're doing to make it. I think this is just a business decision for them to get right sized with what they're doing. The 7% is a significantly insignificant number. And I think it says nothing at all about the health of podcasting. We over index to tech for sure. That doesn't make people who got laid off feel any better.
