The Non Functional Overreaching Effect
Over training is when you go non functional overreach so you're still way up here. Non functional overreaching is when you've gone up but you can't do another session or you don't try as much the next time. When you come down you come back down to baseline or maybe even a little bit lower. The only way to look at that is to assess people. There is loads of stuff in this literature with periodization because that's like the whole of the SNC field. And trying to avoid overtraining is what the SNC coach job is. They use tons of metrics they use lovely big Excel spreadsheets to do this stuff. Which is where I learned most of my
