In some areas, a legal solution is dictated by the nature of the problem. But there are other areas where the intervention of law is not forced on us. It reflects pervasive changes in our outlook and moral absolutism. Law was once regarded as one of its prime functions to impose conformity. Today it has almost entirely withdrawn from all of these areas.
