The Consequences of AI Communication

Communication sometimes breaks down because communication relies on shared assumptions. If you appeal to axioms that aren't shared by your audience, then you aren't going to make any progress with them. The worst case seems to be if everyone kind of views their own opinion as kind of fair game for taking for granted. But I feel like we are pushed further in that direction as a bunch of controversial issues have come up in AI.
