Patel did a great job pointing out problems with Brett's theory. Theories have very similar to it. They can be at once wrong and largely right quantum mechanics is wrong, and also largely right. If we can take the problems of both theories seriously, we can come up with something that does a better job than either of the current theories. It makes perfect sense that both theories are wrong in some measure.
