I think Putin's kind of over confident, which you know we've gone into Ukraine if he weren't. I suspect that he thought that he could probably control all of these forces. But the reality is, you know this is basic 101 on how to run a country. The minute that you allow an armed force to grow up outside of your control,. That's it. And that's what's happened here and so the two options either he kind of hubristically thought he could get away with it, or he really had no choice.
