i had the big honor of speaking with allan fiske, distinguished service professor of anthropology at u c l a. Allan is the author of multiple books, including structures of social life where he introduces his famous relational models theory. Elen then makes the case for a new emotion, camamuta, which gives us an opportunity to discuss his newest work together with the kama muta lap edusele. We why labelling emotions can often lead us to misunderstand our emotions and why maybe we're giving too much importance to the emotion relabels that we have, as opposed to the experience of the emotion itself.
