The Blood Libel

A rumor began to spread around the more bigoted chunks of Christendom. It claimed that Jewish rabbis would, semi-regularly, kidnap and sacrifice Christian children in order to consume their blood. Over the centuries, this lie was passed down and spread from nation to nation. By the 1920s rolled around, it grew into a powerful part of the developing Nazi ethos.
