The Ethics of Privacy in the Age of Big Data

All kinds of personal data. And that includes things like medical data, which could be used against you. Privacy is as collective as it is personal and we need collective solutions. Even in the most capitalist societies, there are certain things that should be outside of the market. So by protecting our privacy and demanding privacy, we can incentivise policymakers to do their job. We shouldn't buy or sell personal data because at the end of the day, it gets used to same effect.
