You're a Psychedelic Horror Author?

I started reading your Phantasm series when I was 12 or 13. One of the things that's always been interesting to me about it, one of the things you could call it is like psychedelic horror. The characters take a supernatural hallucinogen and they turn themselves into monsters. You haven't actually taken acid or anything like that but have done research on them.
