Freud's Relationship to the Ancient World

Freud was fascinated, not just in archaeology, but with antiquity more generally. He bridged that with a much broader cultural fascination with Greco-Roman antiquity. Tragedy became the kind of genre which became understood as being the answer to many questions about humanity.
