Cilcio saw himself as a kind of Socrates of Christendom who was interested in Socrates, inspired by Socrates. Cilcio thinks that people seem to be Christians and that assumption prevents them from seeking to become them. It's hard to see how Abraham's actions are moral at all. For CilcIO, Abraham is a solitary figure who can't be admired on the basis of any socially acceptable notion of morality.
