The Story of a Kashapar
A kashapar gets the sad news that his beloved teacher has died of a separate problem. He's not in sorrow because he knows that everything's impermanent. A week later, with this band of disciples, they're very glad to be able to have got to say the goodbye and their last respects to the Buddha. They circumambulate, pull likewise round the pie of the Buddha. And they do that once, and then they go around again. Once they've all succumbed to the little that pie of twice, the pie just spontaneously combusts. So that's what we're told happened. We're not sure how the head-kashapar died. But we know
