The Consistency of Immigrant Politics

I think it's because unlike what a lot of university educated people think, most people's politics is incredibly contradictory, right? People do not have a very, a politics that makes a lot of sense in a lot of ways. And I think part of that is the fact that the left isn't supposed to, you know, when they bring workers together, right? You don't start by bringing workers together around a shared set of values,. Anti-capitalism, gay rights, these things, Right? You first and foremost bring workers together around their immediate economic self-interest; that's not a value thing. But it just means coming in with a strong sense of compassion and understanding for
