The Sub Stack and the Modern Guild Culture

i feel like sub stack created sort of the modern guild culture where like it was really difficult for one-offs to exist and and do their own thing. Now if you're part of a sub stack community you have a cache that did not exist five years ago. i always just worry about anything that starts to capture to to a platform such as sub stack, it's veering too much to becoming its own new institution. I think they really believe in free speech so that i i trust the founders are serious people and they're going to figure it out but i thatAnything that starts to get centralized with sub stack just gets my spidey sense of like this is going to get captured
