Kashia - The Bark of a Degenerate Variety of Cinnamon
Kasha is adulterated with kasha lignia, the bark of a degenerate variety of cinnamon growing in malabar and pannong. Other varieties of kasha are Saigon kasha which appeared in commerce about 1875. Kashia tamala is a native of India, wild in derwani and gongacura. The dried leaves have an aromatic taste.
