The Importance of Context in the Development of Reform Judaism
I do wonder based on something you said right at the beginning. Is it possible that some of the denominational Judaisms in here, I don't just mean conservative Judaism, could also mean reform Judaism to some degree, modern orthodoxy? Maybe that's why it has a hard time appealing to a generation of American Jews who have no Europeanness left. But they are European inventions that are on American shores. And I think it's also probably why some of these denominations have yet to catch fire in other contexts and what be it Israel or elsewhere.
