The Peaky Blinders
The peaky blinders have peppered the headlines all year. Stories of elderly shopkeepers threatened at knife point and street assaults with cautious or fire irons are common. But what why is the most is the gang's well-known hatred of the police. Constable Bennett makes for one thug who's assaulting a terrified local, but attempts to apprehend him. As he pins Warner against a brick wall, he's suddenly kicked in the stomach by another young gang member. Horrified, Bennett sees them start to remove their belts. He knows only too well what's coming. The peaky blinder strike both officers with their belts, beating them across their bodies and heads.
