In 2017, in response to freedom of information, request, GIDS said that they had referred 1,261. That might not sound very many but it's about 20%. But I think it's quite misleading to look at it that way. And this is what GIDS haven't really answered: how many of the people that were eligible were referred because there's one graph in the book. This is kind of the best data we have, which is really kind of poor in itself. So, averages can be very misleading.
