What Is St. Nicholas and Chris Kringle?
When did Santa become like all the rage? Right? When did he like really hit his sweet spot? Again, it's probably around the late 19th century into the early 20th. A visit from St. Nicholas is published, which had a lot of influence on how we understand what he operates like and what he looks like. The real finishing touches were done in the 1930s by an artist named Haddon Sunblom, who was working for Coca-Cola.
