There has been a big demographic shift. We have seen a dramatic shift with accelerating overdose deaths among black Americans. In 2020, that was the first year that black American overdose deaths surpassed white American overdose deaths. What we've seen with regard to media coverage is that since it can no longer be represented as a white shocking shockingly white problem you know who knew white people use drugs right.
