The Tiger Isn't There in Front of You, Right?
When we are afraid, then we still get the stress reactions in our body. We can't fight, we can't run or take any action yet because we're just imagining something. So all that stress, there's nowhere for the stress to go, right? If a tigerisn't there in front of you, you're going to feel stress - but it's less damaging to your health if you survive. All that stress, all those chemicals in your body, you'll use them to run away or to fight, or to do something. And then when the tiger disappears, ah, you'll immediately relax. Everything wi your all your body chemistry will change completely when you're safe
