The President Hotel Murder Mystery
Roland T. Owen was found dead in room 1048 of the President Hotel, Kansas City on January 4th 1981. He had been strangled with a cord and suffered three deep cuts to his chest. When police questioned him he told them that no one knew who killed him. Police searched for LAPD records but could not find any matching information. The fingerprints they lifted from phone stand belonged to a woman; she was released quickly when her boyfriend confirmed her story. A few days later, Roland passed away after failing to wake up since arriving at the hospital earlier that morning.
