The Morgues of Paris and New York
Kat Byers is working on a PhD on the morgues of Paris and New York. She says that the Paris morgues kept detailed records, and that once photography was invented, the police kept a catalogueFull of pictures of the bodies that came to the morgue. If the unknown woman had been brought there, as many people believed, there should be some record. But there's no trace. In the when was she drawn, we don't know. We still don't know today. It still remains an enigma, if ever she'd drawn herself.
