The House Is Like a Night Errand

The house does seem a little bit ominous, a little bit suspicious. Doesn't seem particularly well cared for, the lawn in particular. And we find out that it seems that heavy machines have been moving through it. Again, there's a suggestion that something else is going on here. Lewis often has larks, metal larks, or nightingale singing, but almost never owls.
