I think that the story is just told with an economy that's impressive. I think it's really successful as sort of a story of manners. And capturing the way that this sort of relationship evolves and takes on this coloring through these sort of dramatic changes and coloring triggered by very minor behavioral changes. But his emotional vulnerability is very much something that foregrounds and then recedes in the story.
