Antonia Darter: For nearly 40 years, Antonia has worked tirelessly to counter social and material inequalities in schools and society. Her critical scholarship and activism over the years has consistently focused on racism, political economy, and questions of social justice. In the 1990s, she convened the California Consortium of Critical Educators that brought together radical educators to contend with oppressive educational policies related to high-stakes testing and attacks on bilingual education. She is a poet and visual artist.
