The Dilemma of Theoretical Writing
I like the blend of those two things, and actually that's where my architectural training I find is useful. A good writer can move in and out of describing something, giving a kind of material presentation of something and then starting to speculate on what that thing might be. So when you are talking about building or architecture through writing about it, exhibiting it, thinking it, drawing it, you are by definition it isn’t then this sort of two sides, it isn't a split, you're either this or that.
