Is It Necessary or Desirable to Eliminate Them?

Is it possible to eliminate conspiracy theories? Is it necessary or even desirable to eliminate them completely? I think that some people would say, no, we should not eliminate this way of thinking because it's quite similar to a just general cynicism or skepticism that you want to encourage. Another technique that's being used a bit now is they call it inoculation. So you give someone a very weak piece of misinformation and then when they come across a stronger influence attempt, they'll be more able to reject it.
