The Origins of Scrolls

The Egyptians invented papyrus pretty shortly after there's evidence for papyrus writing sheets going back to about three thousand bce. The first scroll was blank it was found in a grave as i guess lots of other things were in hdgypt and there was no writing on it. It was just a kind of performative thing you know perhaps this person was learned in in life so they want something that loose a bit like a book they haven't figured out the tech yet.
