Is DeSantis in Charge of the Response to a Natural Disaster?
There's danger in this for Republican governors. Chris Christie embracing Barack Obama after another natural disaster was pretty much the end of his political career when he was seen to do that. The same thing happened with Charlie Christ, former Republican governor of Florida, now running as a Democrat. So DeSantis needs to be seen to be asking for help and welcoming federal assistance,. but at the same time, can I probably have to try and keep Biden at arms length?
